Today I learned: On Windows 11 at least, Windows+Shift+Dash types an em dash (—). Have yet to find any other combo like this that does anything similar.

@TheQuinbox Now that's a really odd find. And why would someone want to use that? Unless you're an AI I guess?

@mcourcel @TheQuinbox I've been using em dashes for years and years before AI. Like from my first days of typing, as soon as I knew how to type it. I have a JAWS script that allows me to type it, and I wrote it very long ago.

@menelion @TheQuinbox Oh neat. Where would one use it? Very curious.

@mcourcel @TheQuinbox rule of thumb: if you want to use a dash in a sentence, basically a dash before a space, use it.
