finally, i wrote down my unstructured thoughts for error camp:

- this was my second time flying alone, which made me a bit nervous, but it worked out
- joined the zine workshop on the evening before, to which i contributed a crow doodle and a few thoughts on algorave
- london is very big and a bit scary to my decelerated soul
- big thanks chau for letting hannes and me crash + driving us to error camp!!
- during the drive i started a live looping strudel project, which i thought to continue in error camp (i didnt)
- the farm was a very positive place, with very pleasant hosts
- i didnt really know what was going to happen in error camp, so i tried to have no expectations
- the schedule poster acted as the backbone of the event, where people could contribute activities / workshops
- i proposed a flok/nudel jam, which happened on the first evening. seemed a good fit as a first low stakes activity
- the jamming continued throughout the event, mostly on the floor outside, with a mix of nudel/synths/clarinette/ukulele/flutes
- the food was amazing, a lot of it was from the farm itself
- the schedule was quite packed, so you’d have to be constantly in the barn to see it all
- not carrying a phone most of the time, it was a bit hard to keep track of when things started

- i missed 99% of the digital communication throughout, but it felt optional
- it was great meeting some people for the first time i knew only from cyberspace
- my social battery is too small. i still feel awkward, but it helps to know other people feel awkward too
- it feels very rare and special to constantly be around people who actually share the same obsession in one way or another
- i still need to learn a lot when it comes to connecting to other people.
- the scheduled activities were a good way to connect, i wish i would’ve contributed more
- it still feels crazy that strudel is so omnipresent, which doesnt match my local bubble at all
- i didnt really plan to learn knitting, but i’m happy i did, thanks agathe and mags
- the only way to loose at knitting is to stop knitting. happy to report i have continued at home (bamboo needles are great)
- i ended up knitting a lot (or trying to). i like that it keeps the body busy while keeping the mind (mostly) free
- i worked maybe 10 minutes total on (non-jam) code, but i guess i have enough time to do that at home anyway
- a bit sad we didnt get hydra on nkosi’s led matrix
- i somehow missed the practical part of the dancing robots, need to find my servo and try it at home!

- i love how welle emerged as a “hot new tool”. also loved seeing auwen / hearing its story (thanks miki)
- finally i know how boggo makes metal in strudel!
- the from scratch evening was a blast! hannes and i were doing playing with the browser console again.
- got more errors than expected, but i guess thats what i signed up for. shouting between page reloads masked the silence :smiley:
- i loved the live coded organ. we need more live coded analog instruments
- the maypole dancing was so much fun! i wish we more runs
- that deep listening and singing sessions looked and sounded awesome. sadly missed to join at the start
- live scoring is very cool! you cannot play what you always play + you dont even know whats happening next.
- dimi and me had the idea to somehow do a livescoring where people score a movie in slots (like the solstice streams)
- we really did the allnighter at the end. it really was a bad idea. my body hated me for it

- the departure day was kind of stressful, i was very tired and also had to find a way to get to the train station
- luckily i found a place in peters car, then joined dimi to crash at his place
- we ended up walking around and talking a lot about all kinds of crazy ideas
- the southeast of london is much less scary than central
- got back the next day, still needed about 4 days to recover, sleeping as much as i could
- huge thanks to all organizers for this lovely event! i need to get better at finding ways to participate / doing whats obvious as jo put it
