i don't particularly believe my interests align with the interests of the various w3c workgroups, i don't trust their vision to be anything remotely efficient in pretty much every way that matters (important especially in this era where nobody can't afford shit) maybe besides "not indexing the entire network", nor user friendly

even if the codebase is trash (it is), i believe the concepts are sound. i however no longer believe in both the specs and the community to make those concepts viable

i wrote enough that (i believe) a motivated individual (assuming either capability to influence the specs or will to break compatibility with everyone) can take it over the finish line and get an Actually Good c2s implementation and a quite nice social media application built on top of it. we all knew that wasnt going to be me
