would anyone else enjoy a plotless sequel to a movie? If so, which movie?

I have watched numerous movies where literally all I wanted was to enjoy more of the world that was created. I wouldn’t even mind if there was literally no plot involved.

Movie wraps up with a perfect ending? Just release an extended ending!

Sometimes I just want to watch those characters enjoy their happy ending and get to explore more of the lore and the world.

All I want is a sequel where it explores the world of Erid before he gets sent home. Talk to more eridians, learn some of their culture and traditions. Maybe even have permanent communications established between them and earth and scientists and people just talk with them. I don’t even care if there’s much of a plot, just story.

The book contains so much more info about Eridians and Erid, including biology and culture, interactions between all the characters (both on earth and in space), and the science. It’s a damn worthwhile read even if you already know the plot.
