@andrewnez There's one committee on which my participation dropped precipitously when I moved back to NZ from the UK.
Most galling is that they tried to live up to the Global in their name by polling the committee members for good time slots with the explicit goal of facilitating worldwide participation.
This happened several times, and every time the secretariat unthinkingly… just… picked the same time slot again.

Outstanding. As a developer in New Zealand involved in standards work for a consortium with Global Alliance in its name, there's just one thing missing:
Even if she gets the video platform to work, the working group meetings are always at 3am.
(Touched on with the 6am podcast interview call, but that can be rationalised as a one-off…)
