@mothninja I helped my late father in law with similar issues. On Windows he found Magnifier very useful for reading. You can also globally increase the UI scale (Settings -> Display -> Scale), or the system font size (Settings -> Accessibility -> Text Size), to make reading easier.

The inbuilt screen reader works ok but can be a kinda rough adjustment. JAWS can be better, but comes with a bit of a learning curve.
