The average person doesn’t even know there’s other options. So, it’s working as designed.

This infuriates me. I don’t give a fuck what your AI says. I’m also enraged because I canceled prime and they decided to renew it anyways

I’ll probably end up going back to Kagi when I’m working again. Can’t justify the extra expenses right now between them and a few others I’d like to pay for.

I just went back to ecosia after trying 5 different SearXNG instances that didn’t work for me.

I can’t give you 10 years ago cause thank fuck I was fortunate enough to buy a house.
2012 I was in a triplex with 1 bed 1 bath. It was a converted farm house so I’d guess I had somewhere between 800-900sq ft. $625
2026 the same unit with no updates and the floor is sagging because no one did anything about the wood supports on the dirt floor sinking in the basement… $1100
Not quite but nearly doubled. For reference. My mortgage is $1250 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath 1,500 sq house about 10 blocks away. I’n 2014 I paid $155k, it was move in ready and a 90s house. That being said, my brother is in the next neighborhood over, 1950s houses that needed all new electrical and plumbing and work in the HVAC and complete new sub floors and it has asbestos. ~1,000 so ft. $225k in 2024. Fucking insane.
Edit to add, I charge my roommates $350/m for a room. At Max I’ve had 3 roommates at a time so all rooms filled. I’m not trying to fuck anyone over. General room rental prices are $600+ near me for a single fucking room.

I used to work for a giant bank in the fraud department and had full access to lexis Nexis. It was horrifying 15 years ago. It’s gotta be so much worse now.

At this point I have to assume you’re just a troll who’s trying to make actual gun owners look stupid to further the stereotype of all gun owners being second amendment trailer trash ass holes who don’t understand anything other than beer, guns and fucking. Because surely you can’t be that stupid. But, I’ve been proven wrong by other people’s stupidity before. Let’s just all be shocked someone with your intelligence level isn’t sitting in jail for a negligent discharge that killed someone.

About the same for me. I’m a Sims player so I pirated what I wanted. Now I run it on steam.

One drive was the final kick that made me jump to Linux. I had removed all my files from it and turned it off several times over the last few years then randomly, something like The Sims 2 will have a brand new game file and I know, One Drive stole my documents… Again.
Well the most recent time they took all my shit and put it back in One Drive was after that update where randomly One Drive was glitching out hardcore. It deleted all my files. All the files that should not have been in there to begin with. Microsoft help basically said, too bad so sad, if you were paying for it maybe we would help you.
I installed Mint that day. Haven’t been back.
