I have stopped throwing parties and started just baking a cake and then telling my friends they should come over and help me eat this cake.

@evacide sorry but how is that not a party?
Replying to @mangochutney@social.lol
@mangochutney you're not partying, just the cake
@evacide hah excellent plan and yes I too have resorted to cake baking and either inviting peeps over or taking it where I go :p
@evacide that's also an enjoyable thing!
@evacide I tried throwing a party once, but it turns out it's much easier to just roll a party down an incline.
This is the way
@evacide cake? 👀
@evacide that sounds like a party to me!
@evacide the entire plot of super Mario 64
@evacide
We called this "tea". It was a runaway success. More fun than anything we ever called a party.
@evacide *nods* This is the way.
@evacide Brilliant idea, I should adopt this as well
@evacide Sounds like a term-limited invite. Which… not a bad idea?
Ah damn
Now I can't get the mandarin-chocolate-Cointreau cake out of my mind that a local bakery made where I went to college. That was so addictive.
When you said
"I have stopped throwing parties",
I thought you meant that you'd taken legal action to get places like this shut down. 🤪
— Open image attachment 1 of 1@evacide I knew I had reached a new stage in life when I had a collection of weird cheese after new year's eve, not weird booze
@evacide this sounds highly effective 😅
This is genius
@evacide brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
My wife would very like this excuse to bake and eat cake, but without the invitations bit. I'll pass that on. 🙏
