@scottearle It will continue, but it's going to be with very very simple organisms and have a long way to recover before anything like a future civilization will ever have a chance to arise. I think you underestimate how deep this holocene extinction is going to cut before its done.

If/when any sapient life returns though, they will know about us and what happened. A lot of the shit we build today is much more resilient than the fossil record we rely on for our own natural history.
