I'm old enough to have an almost completely grey beard, and by the time I hit middle school, absolutely nobody showered before or after gym class under any circumstances. nudity in public school was completely and totally dead outside of kids in actual sports (as opposed to just genpop plebs in PE)

I mean, what can I say, after having read some of the serial killer shit which actually happened and was 100% real within living memory, I can't say I'm all that surprised. I do recall my best friend's mom being quite surprised when she said something about showering after gym and we looked at her like she had 3 heads and told her nobody does that.
