with us using more and more forges we will need some "common ground". Honestly maybe it is just an "emacs issue" where everyone implements their own custom workflow on top of a "messy" system(s) ...

I know it is not as easy as it sound but the fact that github does not provide a way to "send me a summary of my notifications per day/week" amazes me.
The recommended solution is "correctly setup your mail client" ...
