Bernie Sanders wants the wealth amassed by these AI companies which have stolen data and work of billions of people across generations to be handed back to the people. His strategy is to tax the STOCK (not sure why we’re bolding it but sure I’ll play along). He is following the regular ruling that stands for creating panels, legislative bodies, committee establishment process. The president nominates THE SENATE CONFIRMS(because you glossed over that part) this is literally the standard practice.

So I don’t understand what you think you’re making clear or how what he’s doing is wrong here. He’s following the rules and wants to tax the stock of companies that have taken advantage of Americans. It literally makes complete sense and is nothing like what the comment above claims.

Yes they work to hype tech for investors. No Bernie is not perpetuating anything by saying this that’s just so silly. AI genuinely will be used and make money and this tech isn’t going to disappear, it does have value not this much value but it’s genuinely cutting edge and will likely be in many industries. Bernie has no political or personal interest in that, he is stating the lawlessness and recklessness of this tech needs to be roped in by the government which is his job.

It’s not a lazy solution, it’s literally the solution to most things. Nobody said to throw money at it, it has been a common point to fund teachers better. A better society is an educated society.

Not to offend but I don’t really take you being a substitute teacher as a professional opinion. I’m a chef, I understand the mass ignorance in my sector. I have friends in IT who lament the mass ignorance in their sector. A professional opinion on these kinds of overarching matters isn’t good enough.

Wrapping a school in a faraday cage is a ridiculous solution when funding teachers is a solution that covers multiple issues schools face. And there is a way around it. Kids will find it. You can easily slap one device connected by cable to another outside of the cage and it becomes useless. It’s not a solution.

Have you been in a school? It’s heavily understaffed, talk to any teacher they will say the same thing. Fund schools.

And just because rights become limited because you make an agreement with the school to alleviate some of those rights, doesn’t mean this is a good idea. In the event of a crisis, system failure, a nefarious actor, it opens up so many variables to play with. It’s a dumb idea to establish technology like that on campus when the better solution is to just hire more staff and hire better trained staff and engorge curriculum with more engaging lessons.

On top of that, whatever amount of money to establish and upkeep these I promise will eventually fail as kids will figure out some way to bypass it. They always do. Waste of money.

I’d sorta think this is a good idea but I’m not really down for putting cellphone jammers or anything like that on school property. Freedom comes first.

The solution is to fund schools better for better education programs and more staff who would be able to handle rule infractions better. Harder to use your phone in class when 3 staff members are around engaged with the kids.

And also it normalizes seeing drones on school property.

I’ve said it a thousand times now. Someone is going to 3d print a fully functional drone with low tracibility, slap explosives on it and use it to do a Boston Bombing/Columbine style terrorist attack.
