Today's random thought: Do I have a poltergeist living in my antique #banjo case? I swear that one bracket nut was not loose like this earlier today. Both the banjo and case are likely 1930s. The case is seriously banged up and unsuitable for safely carrying the instrument around anymore, but just for storage it’s fine. If any case could have a poltergeist, it’s probably this one. #Instrument

The mentioned old worn banjo hard case sitting in the corner of the living room. It's dark brown faux crocodile-type covering is peeling in places, the edges are heavily frayed and cracked, and the metal latches are dull, tarnished, roughened through use and clearly showing their age. I didn't want to get rid of this case, because it's part of the set. And hey, it's got character! In comparison the banjo is still in superb condition, so the case has definitely done its intended job over the past 9 decades.
