mas.toLu wilson (@TodePond@mas.to)getting better at my interviewing skills i think ive learned what kinds of questions to ask and in which order. once you ask the wrong question it's over you can't un-ask it. you can't "skip" questions. you can't implicitly ask questions by asking bigger questions. it's better to move in smaller steps, and actually they'll often skip to the big ones unprompted, which is much better because then it's them proactively doing it instead of you leading it. im learning its good to ask questions that are actually very closed yes/no questions because they're really easy to answer. it stops people trying to think of "good answers" and they start to instead monologue on things that *they* want to talk about, which is far more natural.

- siraj is such a lovely guy
- it was really nice walking round the streets looking at where things used to be as they got pointed out by siraj. i wasnt the tour guide this time, which was nice.
- it's hard to attentively listen and write down notes at the same time
- i think i dropped some unstructured thoughts somewhere else already
