@ariadne @ska I do think that building a more polished desktop opinionated desktop on top of say Alpine Linux. With a welcoming wizard and contextual help menus. Built-in themes, Custom wallpapers, etc. would be a good thing to get more people to use Linux.

@ariadne @ska I agree that making a Linux distro more approachable by the everyday person would be a good thing. Omarchy might market itself as such, but its not. f/e it comes with 4+ terminals configured. Its not a focused, opinionated, experience.

ElementaryOS has been working on a desktop experience for regular users for a long time. Maybe with more funds for marketing they could be more successful? idk. ikt marketing is the most important thing to drive adoption.
