So from what I could gather from existing replies as well as my prior knowledge, the best idea seems to first go with laser because it's faster, cheaper and less painful, and reserve electrolysis for the remaining stubborn hairs if needed, which will likely be white/clear by that point anyway, so much less of a problem with being still visible under the skin even right after shaving, which is causing me massive dysphoria currently and preventing me from having any chance at passing.

Is this the plan I should try to pursue at the hair removal place?

Yesterday I went to a hair removal studio which have both the equipment for laser and electrolysis, for a consultation, and the worker (not sure if owner or employee) recommended me electrolysis instead of laser, she claimed laser is not very reliable at permanency and might have hair come back even stronger after as little as six months.

Is this true or is she just trying to upsell me for profit? I do have the budget for the electrolysis, I prioritize the treatment with the most permanent effect.

@ariadne Mint seems to be close to this, just not really aimed at "hackers".

I have it on my laptop and I don't think I ever installed anything via the command line or editing config files. There's an application manager (don't know the exact English name as the German localization is good enough for me) that works pretty much like an app store and deals with the actual package manager in the background.
