GitHub has been down for most of the morning - Engadget

This is why I don’t use GitHub. Well that and I don’t code.
I don’t code but prefer the Gitea instance in my basement over anything MS hosts.
Have you considered using it for hosting a small personal blog instead?
(There might be better options, but this is the first one I became aware of)
