Don’t abandon the subreddit. Make a new one here. Then lock the subreddit with a pinned post pointing to the new Lemmy one.

I got banned for saying something about Musk during the height of the DOGE circus. I don’t know what I said exactly because they delete the comment and then ban you.

I think I said I’d like to see him test his rocket and go to Mars. Which, I guess implies,… something.

My old account was banned from reddit a bit over a year ago. I don’t remember what I said that caused it, but it was anti-Musk.

I used to contribute a ton to that site, but after the ban I didn’t bother making a new account. I just leeched the site using old.reddit and had ad-block on. I found my use was reduced over the last few months because it’s just recycled posts these days.

I’m not creating an account just to browse old.reddit and see memes from 3 years ago.

I don’t have any money. Crash away. Fuck it.

The US is such a backwards place.

Guy 1: “Uhhh, too many people are shooting up schools with guns. What can we do about that?”

Guy 2: “I know a guy who knows a guy who can make a drone that shoots pepperballs. We can also install bulletproof doors that lock from the inside and get some armed guards to patrol the kindergarden.”

Guy 3: “What if we enact some reasonable gun laws?”

I always assumed he had the Aztek because they didn’t have much money and it was a cheap used car.
