@menelion @serge Like I said. It's significantly easier for someone to realise that someone's taking a picture of you or video taping you with a smart phone because.. It's kind of obvious. Whereas it's difficult to impossible to know with Smart Glasses. Surely so many people wouldn't be making a fuss if there wasn't genuine concerns

@menelion @serge Yes, but it's significantly easier to detect if someone's recording you with their phone or an actual camera as opposed to the smart glasses where the camera is literally always on and you have no way of knowing. Everyone owns a smart phone now. All the things you described can be done via a smart phone just as easily with less risk to other people involved.
I've been seeing this debate come up more frequently of late. My only question to those people who think that banning the Smart Glasses are anti-disabled or whatever. What do you think is the solution? There are maybe at most a couple thousand people with the resources and desire to use the smart glasses, per country possibly less. Compared to hundreds of thousands of able-body people who have the potential to use it negatively. Not to mention *all* of the META glasses coming attached with the Zuck-baggage. So, are we going to let such a potentially dangerous thing go unchecked just because something something ableism? Or are we going to actually provide a working solution?
