@mo The original OP wanted to send value to someone abroad. I do not see that they need to trust anyone. It is true that the receiver needs some way of getting the value from it, but the same thing applies with something like paypall.

I am interested in the environment, politics, computers and stuff. I think the important things in the modern world computing are open source and online anonymity.
@mo I think you have too much faith in regular banks. If you receive monero you have it, no one can take it back. I do not see what you would need to convince the receiving party of given they got the transfer.
@mo It does of course depend on your use case, but the trust required in monero is less than a third party capitalist solution like paypall or wise.
