@ExtinctionR People living on isolated solar installations can't use induction, due to the high power comsumption unless you have a high wattage instalation and storage. Same happens with electric ovens.
@DBG3D well, that's the reason to extend the grid and/or make high power solar more accessible
btw, is 500-800 watts (consumption of typical microwave) considered high? Because induction stove rarely needs more for long. Mine can go up to 2000, and I use this mode just to preheat water, and then cook on 500/120

Mi Microwave goes up to 2.1Kw and goes down to 400W and up again. With sun is not a problem. But with the batteries only it is.
I used to have an induction on another house with mains. Was between 1200-2000W per zone.
And in induction and electric oven you're expending long times cooking from 25min to a few hours. Enough to drain a lot of batteries. If you have an additional generator is not a problem, but add the expense of petrol and they are quite contaminant.
Aside tell the individuals to change their kitchens, is putting the effort on the ones with less resources.
