@mo @SRAZKVT @ryanc ran a 4 GiB Netbook with Linux Mint and later Fedora for a total of 8.5 years, w/o Zram it was severely limited for more than half of the time. Misusing the SATA SSD as swap drive was almost unbearable. Zram immensely profited from increased efficiency (both in ratio of zstd but more so by VMM improvements, which let me to migrate to LZ4 later) over the years. And I ran half a dozen Electron shells on it. Ofc it was slow as a slug. 🤩
