Any information was available but its veracity was always questioned. And this was before Wikipedia too so the only reliable sources were Encarta and Britannica unless you had a very cutting edge library.

Wikimedia is moving towards opaque and draconian leadership methods. They are actively taking advantage of the trust we put in them to make disingenuous moves that will prevent Jimmy Wales from losing power over the knowledge. He’s basically one bad decision from partnering with AI and now fewer people can stop him.

It’s a lie to stall for time while the lawyers start gathering personal information from the employees.

I don’t care if this backfires. My money helps people and union busting is modern day evil against the people.

Imagine if they put their money into taking care of themselves with healthcare instead.

AI companies know that the public loves books so they tried to hide their shame. Their next approach will be to make us hate books so destroying them is fine. Stories will be lauded while the book format will be dismissed. Many discussions and comparisons of “book vs (insert media)” will start to pop up. Just watch.
