It’s been years of people screaming that this kind of shit could happen. That not accepting the pain of early adoption of open source software would lead to the extreme pain of being locked out arbitrarily.
Victim blaming is an ugly color on anyone.
The more I think about it the less I see them as victims, and more as irresponsible with important data.
