how's quote posting working?

🎵 #RadioFabio 🔴 is live (well, at least until the next restart of the container).

#Songhive (https://git.fabiomanganiello.com/songhive) now supports live stream over HTTP.

You can spin up your instance, upload your tracks, create a stream mount point, play your tracks to that output in loop, and all you need to do to get people to tune on your radio is share a link.

The streaming session will stay active also if you close your browser tab, until another Web client takes over the output.

A great deal of work is being done by folks like @goto and @thisismissem to support a decentralized login experience in the browser that's on par with the closed-system status quo.

The fediverse can be a part of this by adopting the OAuth+FedCM (and eventually DIDs) pattern of open social web identities.

Mastodon is already on its way there with CIMD-support pending in Doorkeeper and the ActivityPub API Task Force has expressed interest in FedCM's IdP Registration API.

Hey @lnkr what do you think about internet radio support? Like if you could play a station from inside Plamenu and the action was recorded and rebroadcast as an activity. So like a new post type where you enter a station url (it could search radio-browser) and then instead of posting you click like post to play, and it shows a player inline (I guess sorta like a peertube stream) and then when you stop the player it updates the message to be a past tense action. (Not a super thought thu idea but)
