Although I suspect the device doesn't do a cbz at all and it has to be converted to .bmp files ahead of time or something

@eal @lain @kaia Besides the screen size, do you know how it performs with a CBZ file?

I know it's slow with epubs so many run them through an optimizer. But CBZ files are just images in a .zip. However I find no info about how slow those basic image formats are on these ESP32C3 devices.

@lain @kaia I think the xteink is the sorta thing that's become cool as part of the whole "mobile phone detox" and "read more books" trends. So it's a bit overhyped. But still a nice product.

Again, I just wish there was a bigger one, since I only read manga. Manga is just a sequence of images, all I need is a digital photo frame with some page turn buttons and a basic UI for browsing.

@lain @kaia they have magsafe connectors so they stick on the back of iphones too. A lot of people shill that so you can read on an E-ink display anytime

I really hope someone makes a large alternative to the Xteink readers and competitors.

Because I really want a basic ass E-reader, but all of these 3-5" things are way too small for Manga.

If crosspoint supported a larger device I'd probably buy one on the spot.
