I fix bugs, worked on various FOSS projects, and mostly code in Python (though I prefer functional languages).
Worked on Reproducible Builds; interested in compsci & infosec, programming language design, parsing, automation, tooling, etc. I like maths & linguistics; and girls of course :3
We need FOSS projects to focus on the needs of the community (especially those most vulnerable), kindness, being welcoming; not just technical contributions; no self-important BDFLs.

@zzt thanks, that's more or less what I've been doing
unfortunately, the CVE deluge means figuring out if there's something actually critical to me in there is no longer practically possible
and I'm a bit worried that minimal due diligence isn't enough to avoid e.g. subtle filesystem corruption bugs introduced by slopcoding that don't show up for a few weeks or months
@zzt I can't tell if you're being sarcastic but if you have concrete advice on how regular users can actually do that I'm interested
@zzt ...how are you supposed to be very careful with backported patches when 6.x LTS kernels are getting updates fixing 1000+ CVEs?
