I didn’t see them say that FLAC wasn’t lossless. When I do see someone say that, they’re usually confusing lossless with uncompressed. FLAC and ALAC are lossless. No one can say otherwise. I have my entire library as uncompressed AIFF because o have the storage and I can always compress if needed.

If you’re on iOS, the app BookPlayer works well. When you choose to add files, you can choose from a media server, including both Jellyfin and AudiobookShelf.

I’ve always liked Plex/Plexamp but have been using Jellyfin more lately and found Finamp to be pretty solid. I just wish it worked with Apple CarPlay.

I switched all my daily use PCs to Linux in 2004 and haven’t looked back. I did have a Plex server running on Windows 10 for about a year but even that has moved to an unRAID server.

Great advertising. I’ve had bitchat for a while but have never seen anyone else on the mesh. It is an amazing idea and I’d love hear some success stories of people using it in different circumstances.
