It is unbelievable to me that a heavy-weight like Sonos manages to fuck up their products again and again and again. Since a shitty software update a few weeks ago, several current generation Aera 100 speakers constantly lock up in a way that their volume can no longer be regulated via their app. And if they can be added to a group, removed from a group, or behave in any other way consistently or not, is totally up to the current tide, the phase of the moon, or whether their CEO currently needs to fart or not. This has been the situation since early June, and so far they haven't managed to fixed this basic usability regression. And before you ask, we've restarted the speakers numerous times, only for them to be in the same unusable state a few minutes or hours later. They worked fine for over a year before that. The result is that my partner and I use a pair of 20 dollar bluetooth speakers with our iPhones to listen to music because that's more reliable than the several hundred Euro worth of speaker setup. After the disaster that was the app upgrade two years ago, this is another reason to deeply distrust the Sonos brand for the foreseeable future.

It's getting closer and closer to Paperback 0.9.0 release time, which of course means Paperback mobile! However, mobile app stores are mobile app stores, and in order to get the Android version into the Play Store, I'll need 12 testers to install it on their device and use it for 14 days. Not necessarily every single day for hours on end, but please don't just install it and let it sit there for two weeks, Google actually tracks if people do this unfortunately. I've got a couple friends with Android phones and I think I myself will count as one of the 12, but would anyone be interested in helping me out here? If anybody wants to know why Gen X is always mad, it's because they had to replace their record collections with a tape collection that they had to replace with a CD collection that they had to replace with an MP3 collection, and now they need a subscription to listen to music.

@fastfinge Prism is that library for self-voicing, right? To be honest, I find those solutions useful, but extremely niche. If something is on screen, I need it to be accessible. Like, a button is a button, a combo box is a combo box, accessible and operable via keyboard.

Is there anything decent for #Prometheus and #PHP monitoring? All the PHP exporters look to have been abandoned 4 or more years ago. There also seems to be a lack of decent data from #nginx exporters. I guess for PHP, I'd need to use some kind of OpenTelemetry stuff? For nginx it might have to be feeding access logs into something?
