@wakest @liaizon Matrix homeserver I use is going through some tough times right now, but I'm still there. The public Plamenu repository is getting delayed by 1–2 weeks, I'm still figuring out forgejo, trying to improve the build speed, add at least some documentation, and fix a bunch of pretty nasty bugs. There are no plans for new features for this time (aside from the ability to post Articles and Events, perhaps )

@wakest should be fixed now. Or atleast show a better-looking error. There is still some emojs out there that are not supported yet (mostly unusual image formats), but for those you listed they all should be borrowable now

@wakest @wakest great idea actually! It does come with some risks of abuse and flooding the instance's custom emojis selector to the point that some clients will struggle to load it, but there is a bunch of approaches to play around with that can help mitigating it I think.
Like, let's say users have some limits for their own custom emojis (I dunno, max 50 for example), can borrow the emojis from each other, and moderators can promote popular or requested emojis into instance-wide ones that would be available for everyone by default and will not count toward the user limits. Or something like that. Might even accidentally grow into some kind of trending/cultural mechanism that would be way funnier than just gating the entire thing behind the mod permissions

The very moment when whatever the hell dlss5 is doing will become such an optional function, those who either want it off or can't afford to have it on would be the first to get royally screwed

Is that a hard NO, or is there any chance Mitra can still emit FEP-044f-compatible Accepts in a static way, without any actual approval mechanisms, so servers that do follow FEP-044f don't get fucked while trying to quote Mitra or process the posts that are quoting Mitra? I'll land the PR if this is a possibility.

@silverpill unrelated - does Mitra implements QuoteRequest/Accept/QuoteAuthorization part of FEP-044f? I'm having hard time with Mitra's quote posts when it comes to getting approval, trying to track it down atm
