Yeah, it’s unfortunate but until we get robust privacy laws (which won’t happen) none of this shit can ever be trusted. Anyone arguing to put more cameras and microphones into our lives at this point should be met with an ass beating. If our politicians were worth anything those laws would have been in place before it ever got this far. Instead they’re all bought and paid for.

The people who refuse to get off Facebook can contact me via text. Everyone has a cell phone. I’ve never had Facebook and never will. I’m not putting my face or personal info online and I’m not ever going to bend on that. If they can’t accept that and compromise on how we communicate then they can GTFO of my life.

My mom got a new laptop and had been logged into Facebook for maybe 5 minutes when she got hit with one of those fake malware ads and freaked out about it. I don’t even get it, I know for a fact she’s encountered shit like that before.

It’s not. Ai can do it instantly, and doesn’t have to sleep. The Internet has already been filled with so much shit that huge portions of it are useless. This was happening before ai and is a big part of why ai sucks but not at the rate it is now. People are setting up bots and turning them loose to feed off each other which only magnifies the problem.

Not just pictures. All sorts of slop, slop search results, slop articles, slop code, slop reddit posts, there’s a whole world of ai slop out there.

I don’t use it because I know they’re going to be nosing around whatever I put in there. If it was truly just file storage I would consider it but they can’t keep their grubby hands off our data. If it could be used 100% locally and wasn’t also being used to train some AI model or whatever other bullshit they’re doing with it then it would be fine. People have a right to know how their data is being used.

I can’t tell if your’re agreeing or disagreeing with me but them taking an anti-union shows their quality. If they aren’t for working people then they have none and they don’t need to exist. The information there can easily be re-homed elsewhere.
