About the only thing I have in that range would be an old Connor CP30174E from the 90’s. It doesn’t get any use tho. I framed in in a shadow box for display along with some other drives that I disassembled and display as a curio. I just think they’re neat.

With the update I’ve added this Navidrome lyrics plugin, but I’ve not really tested it yet. I’ve been using lrcget to locate and add lyrics before this update.

I love the fact that they have really opened up Navidrome to use plugins, and it seems the community is starting to produce some pretty decent examples.

Hmmmm…Navidrome has supported lyrics for a while now, no? Apps like Feishin will fetch lyrics for you based on the song being played, if it’s available that is. But it doesn’t embed them, to my knowledge. However, since I still have a stripped down Windows 10 installation, I used MusicBee to embed the lyrics. Highlight the library, and let it eat. If your library is large, it will take some time. When finished, the lyrics will be embedded in the audio file, and will display in Feishin and in Navidrome.

I know that beets has a lyric plugin, and that might be an avenue for you OP. However, in my case, I started with MusicBee so very long ago, and it’s still a top notch player imho, even tho it is a Windows app.

Thanks for that. I grinned at the pitch; 'It’s a no-compromise solution that’s a a quantum leap forward. Looking at the rest of the page, it does seem to have some bases covered with features. So, naturally, I’m going to have to check it out. Bookmarked.

I couldn’t find any reason they’re winding down. I wonder why? Was this planned? Battlefield Fatigue? I’ve used it before, had no real complaints. It fit the use case at the time.

What’s this community’s opinion of Yunohost?

I ran it back in the day, and it does come up in topics here. The dev(s) seem to have greatly improved it since my experience. I haven’t done a side by side comparison, but I think Yunohost has the largest app store I’ve seen than that of competitors in it’s class. I think it’s pretty solid architecture, and for someone starting out, or even if you just don’t want to get that involved in 100% DIY, then it’s a great option.

Oh, I get it’s Debian under the hood. Like I mentioned, I just got comfortable with it and so I’ve seen no reason to switch. The OP’s situation is different tho. He started out with Debian, so it would make sense to continue with Debian.

Didn’t downvote nor do I understand why someone would, but I’m curious. When you say ‘leaner’, is it leaner that standing up a minimal installation of Ubuntu server? This is what I’ve been doing for a long while, and then adding whatever I needed, which turns out to be minimal, down the road. My reasoning would be less exposure from apps that are unneeded in my scenario.

Ubuntu Pro gets you livepatches for kernal issues, which may be worthwhile.
