@mattesilver @rauschma It’s rather a cultural thing about privacy, which is why Mastodon is also a GmbH, not the other way around.

@liaizon This morning I woke up in a panic at 5:30a because I dreamt you messaged me “I’m at the Grand Hotel in Budapest, where are you?” and I had to check I didn't somehow misled you about my whereabouts as I was in New Jersey all week-end!

@liaizon Same reason @silverwizard and I left DeltaChat after having a pretty good time using it. This project going pear-shaped for unknown reasons is one of the saddest event I’ve witnessed in the decentralization space.

@liaizon I’m off-put by this list made by this person because he could have been on this list for 15-20 years old public posts too. The only thing separating Drew from some of his subjects seems to be the existence of a public retraction statement, which seems a little thin to me. A public retraction isn’t the only way someone can change opinions.
Still most people on this list deserve to be there, but when the offending activity is older, the legitimacy of the inclusion fades especially in comparison with the author own past behavior.

@liaizon “pouvoirs publics” = elected officials, not the general public.
