Regular-ish Linux (which isn’t on the Pixel 7 yet) won’t care, given that the BMS is also removed and isn’t dangling from the battery connector.
Android will fuck you over and bootloop. Android recovery, too. Usually. Not for OP, I guess they are lucky.
