@JonathanMosen Huh? Violence? What did I miss? Sadly while we may have dodged the paywall for now I won't be surprised at all to see it return in another form that harms us. There are some businesses that explicitly ban smart glasses, so that's another kind of harm especially as the vast majority of those businesses have no plans for accessibility or providing reasonable accommodations.

@JonathanMosen Likewise. Not only this but also starting to depend on functionality only to have it later go behind a paywall some of us may not be able to afford. The potential for greatness is amazing while the potential risks may be even higher for our community.
When high-level compiled programming languages hit the scene in the 1970s, I wonder how many machine-language, punch-card programmers groused about the poor quality inefficient code they produced? And, yes, I do realize there are differences in the comparison, but, really, I think the general idea stands. Technology moves forward and there are just different approaches to how we humans handle change.
