I’ve always said it. Best form to prevent spam is to have allow list as a default. You should only be able to receive messages from pre-approved people.

I have allow listed my email for ages and it’s great.

But obviously advertisers and business hate it because then they need your true consent to send you shit.

I love all those “deleted comment” that keeps growing on Reddit. Users are waking up and destroying any contribution to that site, making it ultimately useless.

What search engine do you use?

I’m looking for something that just gives good results with their own engine, not proxying google or yahoo, without LLMs being involved.

I’ve used startpage and have my own searxng instance self hosted. But both use mostly google results with just a nicer frontend.

I was looking Kagi as an alternative. But they seemed to move to become another AI company, bundling their subscription to the search engine with a subscription to an LLM, so I’m not paying for that.

No, I was only talking about people being forced to migrate because violence, prosecution or economics. If you just want to move, move.

I think you articulated greatly something that’s been around my mind for a while.

I’ve been a while thinking how migration policies should be revised in the EU, attending to human rights and seeking the best for everyone. Personally I think the route to take is improve the countries of origin, do whatever we can so people doesn’t even feel the need to leave all their friends and family behind for economic reasons.

But as the EU is not addressing this because corporations profit from mass inmigration, the alt-right way of thinking about inmigration (which is basically genocide) is rising.
