Many of you might already know some of the events / games which happen in the Fediverse. The most prominent are Canvas (@canvas) and The Button (@thebutton). But as far as I have seen, these events are not widely known and users expressed that they would have joined, if they had known it happened.
So I propose the following idea: admins of the Fediverse, I ask you to join the Matrix room below. There developers of events for the Fediverse can write about upcoming ones they host and every admin which likes it can then add a sticky announcement to their instance for some days.
#fedi_event_pitches:fediverse.ooo
I'm not asking for aggressive advertisement or something like that. But I would love to see if we all can find a way to spread word about the cool projects members of our communities work on, as it is hard to reach all the users of this fragmented network. The most challenging part is Mastodon and Co, as they have no communities and getting a Hashtag of a niche event spreading is rather unlikely.
Feedback and possible better ways to accomplish this is always welcome.
Pinging admins of some Mastodon (and whatever else my script misidentified as Mastodon) instances with >= 200 MAU (please don't ban me for spam :) ).
