No it doesn’t. It only works because 51% doesn’t change the ledger.
You already have this with a simple database for ownership. It already exists, and ledgers made out of paper predates that.

Well no, because we don’t have a problem that blockchain solves (better than open software, if it must be digital), and there are loads of problems that the blockchain doesn’t solve. Like how am I supposed to vote with that thing under no coercion.
Yeah who doesn’t want a ledger you cannot change, sounds like a good idea. /s

Selfdriving cars: anytime soon now bro, just wait a little bit more, promise they’ll come, they’ll take over bro, bro
But I guess they will one day do that, people should know about hype-curves.

Well yeah, but my statement is true anyways IMO. Deep neural networks are unchanged since the eighties I guess, and again IMO it’s not they who need/can have a breakthrough, doubly especially since nobody seems to be working on anything else than “bigger datasets” and profiling and such.

I thought I was going to learn something new, but he just seems to have done the regular job search that many artists do? He had a stable family with a house and so on, didn’t live on the street or anything. Struggled the first year to get contracts for what I read but that’s about it.

Did you know the economy has doubled every 20 years, with productivity alongside it, but the benefits don’t show up for us down here?
We should have a 3/4 day workweek with cheap good food, early retirement etc etc but we don’t.
And I’m saying this living in the EU.

An AI breakthrough has nothing to do with LLMs, it’s like saying the auto industry will collapse except if there is an AI breakthrough that saves it.

I bet they’re just running as fast as they can, not caring about which direction as long as they are “ahead”.
