I personally use a vps for this stuff but my setup is standalone nginx as a reverse proxy and fail2ban and ufw

It was a pretty huge learning curve but it was great learning to troubleshoot stuff i also set up oauth2-proxy and that was also a bit of learning curve but worth it in the end
